Truth Is - Part 1 [Notes]

In a world where the very concept of truth is under attack, we are called upon to know the truth and be able to defend it (Jude 1:6). The truth can impact our relationship with God, and it can lead to true freedom (John 8:32). Unfortunately, many in our society no longer value the truth, and they don't know where to turn in order to find it. What are some ways in which our culture has strayed from the truth and how can we graciously stand firm as we face those in our society who look to undermine it? Today's Takeaway // The truth matters.

As He was saying these things, many believed in Him. So Jesus said to the Jews who had believed Him, "If you continue in My Word, you really are My disciples. You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free." "We are descendants of Abraham," they answered Him, "and we have never been enslaved to anyone. How can You say, 'You will become free'?" Jesus responded, "I assure you: Everyone who commits sin is a slave of sin."

The coming of the lawless one is based on Satan’s working, with all kinds of false miracles, signs, and wonders, and with every unrighteous deception among those who are perishing.
