MOVE UP Sunday // 2022

We are so excited for your child to move up to their new room starting Sunday, August 7th!
Here's what to expect when your child next attends The Ridge:

For Kids PreK and Younger in Fall 2022
Your child will move to a new, age-appropriate room, based on their age by July 1. When you sign your child in on Sunday, please check the tag to be sure you take them to the correct classroom.

  • 6–14 months: meets in Cubs Room, 110
  • 15–24 months: meets in Raccoons Room, 114
  • Birthdate 7/1/19 – 6/30-20: meets in Black Bears Room, 122
  • Birthdate 7/1/18 – 6/30/19: meets in Deer Room, 120
  • Birthdate 7/1/17 – 6/30/18: meets in The Barn Room, 118
Each room has a specific animal name, which makes it easier for your child to remember. If your child is moving to a new classroom, you should have received an email or text earlier this week. Please talk with your child and prepare them for meeting new volunteers and classmates. We are so excited to start this new school year off in the nursery and preschool areas!

For Kids In Elementary School in Fall 2022
Your child's room will be on the second floor! There, we dive into activities that relate to each week’s bible story and memory verse, always reminding students of three basic truths: I can trust God no matter what, I need to make the wise choice, and I should treat others the way that I want to be treated. Take some time to go over these truths with your kids before dropping them off in their new room!

  • Kindergarten in Fall 2022: meets in Room K
  • 1st grade in Fall 2022: meets in Room K
  • 2nd grade in Fall 2022: meets in Room 3
  • 3rd grade in Fall 2022: meets in Room 3
  • 4th grade in Fall 2022: meets in the Preteen Room! Don't worry — it's just down the hall from where your child attended before!
  • 5th grade in Fall 2022: meets in the Preteen Room

For Students in 6th Grade in Fall 2022
Your child will now be attending the middle school service in The Loft, next to the Preteen Room!
The check-in and pick-up process changes for middle school students:
  • Students are able to check themselves in, and they will now have bracelets instead of name tags.
  • Parents no longer have to pick students up at their room; they will be led downstairs to the lobby by a leader.

We look forward to introducing your child to their new environment in August! Please contact the Ridge Kids team if you have any questions.
