Prayer Plan // September 2024

This month, we are looking at Proverbs 13:14:

A wise person’s instruction is a fountain of life,
turning people away from the snares of death.

I’ve been reading through Proverbs in my daily quiet time with God and was particularly struck by this one. What an incredible opportunity we have. If we are people of wisdom, we have the opportunity to instruct others and lead them away from the snares of death and to the fountain of life. Wow! There is nothing I desire more for what I share than for it to do exactly that. However, I know my words can’t do that alone. I need God to transform me into the kind of person, a wise person – one who fears Him, for this to be true. So that has been my prayer since reading this: “Lord, please continue to grow me into a wise person, one who is like your son Jesus, and let my instruction turn people away from the snares of death and to drink from the fountain of life.” Let that be your prayer this month as well!

Each day we want our church to come together and lift up specific requests to God.

• Continue to pray for Pastor Tim and Pastor Josh, our staff, our church, and our community in this time of transition. That it can be a time where God is glorified and people come to know Him.
• Pray that our church continue to reach WVU students for Christ.
• Pray for the teachers and faculty serving the next generation this school year.
• Pray for the ministry volunteers who impact the lives of children and students that they will have wisdom, discernment and an abundance of love.
