It all begins with you. Get involved, show love to others, and make a difference. Choose to participate in any or all of the following ways to give back to others. Through each of these caring acts, we can reach people in our neighborhood, community, and world. Join us throughout November as we campaign for kindness.

Serve Day

Serve a Neighbor //
Be a part of Serve Day! Participate by doing either of the projects suggested here or come up with your own! The most important thing is that we are serving others!
Option 1: Rake Leaves for Seniors

On Saturday, November 13 from 8:30am to 12:00pm, we will be raking leaves, trimming bushes, pulling weeds and other fall cleanup projects for seniors in our area. 150 volunteers are needed for to help at 10 local houses. Find more details and sign up here.
Option 2: Serve Day at Home

Serve a neighbor any time November 1-21. Here are a few ideas:
Pray // Take time to pray for our city, state, and world.
Serve a Neighbor // Check in on your neighbors to see if they need help or encouragement. Deliver baked goods or hot meals to neighbors, rake someone else’s yard, or just stop by for a visit.
Reach Out // Call or video call a friend or loved one.
Write a Note // Let the kids make homemade cards or write an email or letter to a teacher, neighbor, or friends!
Support Local // Do something to support a local non-profit or local business, or give a donation! Here are a few local partners you can consider giving to:

Donate a Coat //
You can make a difference this holiday season! If you’d love to help those in need in our community, you can help by donating new or gently-used coats and winter accessories to The Ridge. We’ll be accepting coats, scarves, hats and gloves.
Option 1: Donate Your Winter Gear

You can donate items from your own new or gently-used winter gear. Your items can be dropped off in The Ridge lobby between November 1st and 21st on Sunday mornings, or Monday through Saturday anytime at Entrance A.

Option 2: Amazon Wish List

Purchase items on the Amazon Wish List. Choose to ship it directly to us or get it delivered then bring it to The Ridge.

Anyone in need of winter coats and accessories is welcome to The Ridge to choose from the donated items at the following times:

Pack a Shoebox //
The amazing journey of a Christmas shoebox can begin with you. Operation Christmas Child is a project of Samaritan’s Purse, an international relief organization. You can pack a box with small toys, hygiene items, and school supplies as a means of reaching out to children outside the United States affected by poverty, natural disaster, famine, and disease.
Option 1:  Pack a Physical Shoebox

Beginning November 1, boxes will be available in the lobby or you can use your own shoebox. You can return your boxes on Sunday mornings or Monday through Saturday anytime at Entrance A. Please return your filled boxes to The Ridge by November 21st.

Option 2: Digitally Build a Shoebox
