November 5–19

It all begins with you. Get involved, show love to others, and make a difference. Choose to participate in either or both of the following ways to give back to others. Through each of these caring acts, we can reach people in our community. Join us throughout November as we campaign for kindness.

Donate a Coat //
You can make a difference this holiday season! If you’d love to help those in need in our community, you can help by donating  coats and winter accessories to The Ridge. We’ll be accepting new coats, scarves, hats and gloves.
Option 1: Donate New Winter Gear

You can donate newly purchased coats, hats, gloves and other gear by bringing them with you to The Ridge. Your items can be dropped off in lobby between November 5th and 19th on Sunday mornings, or Monday through Saturday anytime at Entrance A.
Option 2: Amazon Wish List

Purchase items on the Amazon Wish List. Choose to ship it directly to us or get it delivered then bring it to The Ridge.

You can also ship your donations directly to us at:
Chestnut Ridge Church
c/o Winter Coat Drive

If you would like to volunteer to help with the coat drive, you can sign up here.

All donated items will be distributed through our partners in Monongalia County Schools, Preston County Schools and Christian Help.

meal giveaway

Donate a Meal //
Christmas is a time for giving, and we want to bless families in need this holiday season. A gift of $60 will provide a meal for a family in our community.

Meals include a ham, a 5lb bag of potatoes, a box of stuffing, two jars of gravy, two cans of corn, two cans of green beans, rolls, butter, cranberry sauce, a pie, whipped cream, bread, peanut butter and jelly.
Volunteer for Distribution //

On Saturday, December 16th, we are packing and giving away 200 Christmas meal kits to families from our community who are facing a hardship this season. We need 30 volunteers to serve.

Impact your neighbors, community, and world!

Kindness can come in all shapes, sizes and situations, but it has one thing in common—it can change the world.
